Same question you can ask for any abstraction like Doctrine for Databases, Flysystem for Filesystem access, PSR Cache implementations. -> Easy to switch, no vendor lock-in. In our cases Sulu CMS and Contao CMS the project decides which one they want to use not the System itself.
