It's wild to me how feasible it is to build an interactive, zoomable map of the whole world entirely with open-source resources like Protomaps. If you reduce the zoom levels of your tile data, you can even host on Github Pages. Plus, Protomaps benefits from the performance of HTTP Range Requests.
