For years I've collected FBI/CIA files of 20th century left-wing historians. One of the wildest discoveries (I wrote about it a few years ago) was that U.S. Naval Intelligence tried to sway the election of Eric Williams, author of Slavery and Capitalism, when he ran for president of Trinidad.
