A dynamic (likely final) stratospheric warming is in the forecast. Is it due to coincident anomalous wave driving from the troposphere? GFS says "no", with anomalous eddy heat flux within the stratosphere only. Stratospheric disruptions don't always need anomalous tropospheric wave activity!
