We’ve already experienced some significant losses and others are looming: \n\nSeveral significant grants have been cancelled or paused (approximately $800,000) \nA government grant providing $15 million dollars worth of fresh produce from farmers and growers has been paused \nSeveral of our close community partners have had to shut down operations affecting our wrap around service offerings  \nThere’s been a 20% increase in our requests for emergency food assistance.  \nUncertainty in Washington. Layoffs at Home. Hunger all around. Right now, families across South Florida are facing a storm of challenges. Rising costs, stalled government funding, and now, widespread layoffs that are stripping away stability almost overnight. \n\nFeeding South Florida is seeing the impact firsthand. Every day, more families are turning to us for help, many for the first time. Parents who were working just weeks ago are now out of a job. Seniors on fixed incomes are being squeezed tighter than ever. Children are feeling the effects in empty lunchboxes and dinner plates. ",
