We call a valid function π a "facet" if for every valid inequality β¨πβ²,π¦β© β₯ 1 such that π(π) β π(πβ²), we have π = πβ². For finite-dimensional polyhedra of full affine dimension, these two properties are immediately seen as equivalent.
