Skype was taken to the shed & put down by Microsoft today. Reminds me that so much of the history of IT: 1. Small co produces genuinely useful thing 2. Users love/buy it! 3. Big co buys small co 4. Big co borks useful thing and drives original team away 5. New version is useless 6. Users abandon it
