I designed and built a bunk bed for my kid (50 lbs) that can probably support ~1,000-2,000 lbs, and am applying the same design principles for the 12 lb tabletop grill I got as a birthday present. Surely the only safe way to build this is 2x6s sitting on notched 4x4s, right?
