“There once was a Derry down Derry, who like to see little folks merry…” Did you know Edward Lear (1812-1888) was an artist as well as a poet? He painted and lithographed birds for his monograph ‘Illustrations of the Family Psittacidae’, which was published in 1832 when he was just 20 years old.
