Yeah it's a pain, I feel you. I spent a few days staring at logs of DAG build output and slowly tweaking settings. I wish METIS had a mode like "bisect, and if overshot backtrack a bit". Good to know that recursive calls still have problems, thank you for sharing! Calling my DAG code done for now.
