1st Qtr. GDP was expected to be slightly positive. Instead, the economy shrank by 0.3%. ADP’s employment report for March was 62K vs an expected 120K. Not good. The only positive sign is that consumer spending slightly beat expectations in March. That may have been about getting ahead of tariffs.
