Thinking about "text using propaganda register of x to convey anti-x ideas" generally. I do find that disclaimers of various kinds (which includes "looming context") aesthetically dissatisfying ... Often necessary, and I used them myself all the time. But they puncture the LARP-y conceit. 1/
