    "text": "it does rely on verifying consecutive updates to the repo.  e.g. if the repo goes A → B → C and you saw A but totally missed the update to B, then you need to do a repair operation in order to verify C. similar situation to recovering from a pds losing data and needing to \"fork\" some repos.",
