Great post! One of my favorite mentions of using “missiles” in naval battles is Thucydides at Syracuse when he says, in essence, they used “lots of stones, arrows, and javelins against the enemy.” Drives home the point that it’s hard to tell how the action was conducted, likely not volleys though!
