the reward is making the playoff. i don’t see the necessity in giving the 9th ranked team the 3 seed and the 12th (or whatever ASU was), when the 5/6 seed is the REAL beneficiary. those 5/6 seeds (will always be power conf teams) get home playoff game rev and easiest second round matches
