This is very helpful! If your high-achieving kids (congratulations btw!) cannot pay off their student 'debt' in their lifetime, that exposes the system is not actually a loan, but a graduate tax pretending to be a loan. Their 'unpaid debt' is more than covered by the extra tax they'll pay.
