Republicans have long insisted that taxes on businesses get passed along to consumers through higher prices. But on CNN, Lutnick says this rule doesn't apply to tariffs. "Don't buy the silly arguments that the US consumer pays," he says. "The businesses and the countries primarily eat the tariff."
