On 12th April 2004, Brian Lara scored 400* in the 4th Test v England to reclaim the record of the highest Test match batter score. Matthew Hayden held the record for a mere 6 months with his 380 v Zimbabwe at Perth in October 2003. 21 years later, Lara’s record remain intact.
