One, the female, leaps athletically onto it and arches her back seductively. The male, realising this is the moment, half jumps out of the water behind her as if flexing to get ready. She makes some chirpy noises to get them both more in the mood and lies down flat. He, making some slightly lower-pitched chirpy noises in return, swims back and forth for a while, either psyching himself up or dithering; who can say? His crest swells out to the sides, and finally he leaps on top of her. Dinosaur-ish clicky-screechy noises follow, and then he jumps off over her head, briefly doing a passable Snoopy dance in the water. She puts her head up and he turns round, and they look at each other, sporadically shaking their heads probably not in regret but as a little bonding ritual. He does the flexing half-jump again, and the moment has passed.", "$type": "app.bsky.embed.video", "video": { "$type": "blob", "ref": { "$link": "bafkreib3bj4pk4zucg3vnalnxrg4g2kkp4ke7mjzvf27ex5afrjzxh2xny" }, "mimeType": "video/mp4", "size": 26924774 }, "aspectRatio": { "width": 1620, "height": 914 } }, "langs": [ "en" ], "facets": [ { "index": { "byteEnd": 89, "byteStart": 75 }, "features": [ { "tag": "NewRiverBirds", "$type": "app.bsky.richtext.facet#tag" } ] } ], "createdAt": "2025-05-14T15:38:15.636Z" } }
