There was a huge X-class solar flare yesterday on the Sun! You can see it on the right-hand limb in these SDO images. I find it so neat that we live next to, and can study, a star. We take it for granted that it's "the Sun" and it's always in the sky, but there is a star and it is RIGHT THERE. š
