depends on which asset class within EM you are looking at... let's keep it simple and look at equities, per ashmore: From 2000 to 2011, EM EPS rose by a whopping 17.2% per annum (p.a.). DM ex-US increased by 5.9% p.a, while US EPS growth was only 4.9% p.a. there are many more examples as well
