To redress these injustices, societies must grapple with their lasting effects. In the United States, however, courts often employ generational arguments to limit remedies for racial and climate injustices, favoring the views of older, homogeneous cohorts over younger and diverse ones.\nThis essay argues for a more inclusive approach to intergenerational law, drawing lessons from non-U.S. jurisdictions whose legal frameworks have more fully incorporated marginalized perspectives and accounted for long-term impacts. By learning from these jurisdictions, the United States could move toward a legal system that is more equitable and responsive to the insidious legacies of injustice, enabling it to more effectively address complex, multigenerational societal challenges.",
