18 April 1788: birth of Charlotte Murchison née Hugonin. She was a friend of both #MaryAnning and Mary Somerville who described her as 'an amiable accomplished woman, drew prettily and what was rare at the time she had studied science, especially geology'. In 1829 an ammonite was named after her.
