Why are carbon offsets so bad? 1. They are used by big business to greenwash. Fossil fuel companies can offset the emissions of their offices, and then claim to be a 'carbon neutral' organisation. 2. Many of the offsets themselves completely lack integrity. @pollyjhemming.bsky.social explains:
