Each egg-laying cycle, a female silek will lay one egg. Fertilization is actually quite rare for them, so they're usually nonviable. And yes, these dud eggs are typically eaten. Outsiders may find it weird, but the eggs are packed with nutrition and it would be a shame to let it go to waste 🥚
