In the south-east corner of the site, Novice competitors, after transiting fence 10, can enjoy a long straight gallop along a track parallel and very close to the A515 Lichfield road. Unaware weekend motorists may catch a sudden, subliminal, glimpse through the trees and undergrowth of horse and rider flashing past in the opposite direction not twenty yards away.
