Depending on what sketchy document you look at, my pops was born in 1939 or 1940 in Michoacán, Mexico. He grew up in a little town called Zacapu, of Tarascan, Oaxacan & purepechan Indian lineage. He left behind a family of six children - he himself was one of 8 - to come to the US. #todosobremipadre
