It’s subtle but additionally to the slight difference of consonants the vowel sound is pronounced slightly longer in /wig/ due to the vowel being pronounced more similar to the /g/ afterwards This is called pre-lenis-lengthening in linguistics Obviously that doesn’t account for other variants
