This is in contrast to the original 1978-9 Hitchhikers radio recordings which had the sound effects added later, mostly by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. Our aim was to reproduce what Douglas wrote as if it had originally been performed in front of an audience in the BBC's audience studio. \"The Paris\".
