I started reading Quinn Slobodian’s Hayek’s Bastards: just as Melinda Cooper’s Family Values demonstrated that a repressive politics of the family was always a part of neoliberalism this book shows that the focus on race is not a populist deviation from neoliberalism but always a part of it.
