    "text": "The best product I ever used to dull shiny surfaces is Italeri Flat Clear Acryl - it's no varnish coat, but it does the job over anything and it's more than sturdy enough to be handled. It's VERY matte, though, so that it kills metallic paints completely if it goes there, so exercise caution.",
