An old school friend Alex George Morrison and I are thrilled - the elvers have come back! As kids in Leurbost, Isle of Lewis, the Abhainn Ghlas (river) where we played was full of eels. In recent decades we've found none. But yesterday, Alex saw 5 in one small pool. There's one centre bottom, RHS.
