A couple of hot and sunny visits to Pilning Wetland failed to produce the hoped for arrival of Wood Sandpiper or Temminck's Stint. A few Greenshank and only the 3rd Cattle Egret of the year were nice but better still were 4 tiny Lapwing chicks, the 3rd brood of the year here so far.
