“Hi, I'm Joseph, a Green Runner from France. Last weekend, I swapped a training session for a plogging run—finally remembered a bag! Picked up paper, plastic, even a pair of gloves! It felt good to finally do something that should be obvious.” More in alt text @joboulett.bsky.social #BadgeBimbles

I mostly race on road, track and cross-country, plus the occasional short trail; I prefer training in nature though!\n\nLast weekend I wasn't feeling well and I thought that proper training would be impossible, so I thought I should do something different for once. Plogging is one of my pledges, but every time I remember I want to do that, I'm already 20 minutes into my jog, a couple kilometers from home, looking at rubbish on the trail without any bin in sight or bag at hand. Not this time! I remembered to grab that brown paper bag and to pick what I spotted. Nothing special really–mostly paper towels and plastic bits and packages… and a pair of gardening gloves . Though it was a bit desperate at times (near the city) the forest trails were mostly very clean. I'll definitely do that again on easy runs and try to come up with a better system than carrying a fragile brown paper bag.\n\nNot much of a story but that's about it really, to me it just felt quite nice, like finally doing something obvious.\n\nThanks to Joseph, for sharing this and for acting on his pledge. It may not feel like much, but it absolutely is—every small action adds up, and your stories remind us how simple choices can make a big impact.\n\nWould you like to be featured on our weekly social posts? 📩 Send us a DM!\n\n#TGRBadgeOnTour\n#BadgeBimbles\n#PinUpThursdays", "image": { "$type": "blob", "ref": { "$link": "bafkreifijpxcxk33jakfyaqyeqgxfkmdi7kpkqecsnibsimgsgp65727ei" }, "mimeType": "image/jpeg", "size": 520497 }, "aspectRatio": { "width": 1880, "height": 1576 } } ] }, "langs": [ "en" ], "facets": [ { "$type": "app.bsky.richtext.facet", "index": { "byteEnd": 291, "byteStart": 269 }, "features": [ { "did": "did:plc:eqtpfruletjx3e4qu73b2yog", "$type": "app.bsky.richtext.facet#mention" } ] }, { "index": { "byteEnd": 306, "byteStart": 293 }, "features": [ { "tag": "BadgeBimbles", "$type": "app.bsky.richtext.facet#tag" } ] } ], "createdAt": "2025-05-08T14:13:46.192Z" } }
