"Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" is a terrible name, because people think "oh, I'm tired, too." But while there's a spectrum, it's not the same as ordinary exhaustion. My favorite description came from a doc who said "severe ME/CFS patients have a quality of life similar to late-stage AIDS patients."
