Not seen so much about the internal clutch bands wearing out? Valve bodies are very common but it's not unusual for the boxes themselves to last 250,000 miles if serviced. Depleted friction modifiers from worn out/burnt fluid is usually the biggest issue (caused torque converter shudder on the xc90)
