We tried deep-sea mining in U.S. waters already -- back in 1970 -- off the South Carolina coast. Scientists returned to the undersea site in 2023 to see what it looked liked now. One told me: "It's like they were there yesterday." My story: pulitzercenter.org/stories/pull... #deepseamining
