We moved here from SLC in 2018. At the time, the cost of living was about 30% higher for PDX. Since then, home prices in SLC have skyrocketed and I think they are pretty similar now in CoL. I think PDX hasn't appreciated as fast as other Western cities lately due to reputation. But it's improving.
