Big fan of recurrent laryngeal nerves. In fish, it just went to the directly to the gills, but in tetrapods, it makes a pointless detour all the way down and up the neck. Especially stupid for giraffes. In sauropods, 50 foot necks. So round trip something like a 100 foot detour for no reason.
